- Servings or yield and realistic preparation, cooking, and total times
- Required equipment
- Measured ingredients, including preparation details such as chopped, drained, or room temperature
- Preparation tasks in the order they should be completed
- Numbered cooking steps with heat levels, approximate timing, and observable cues
- Doneness and food-safety guidance where relevant
- Substitutions, variations, allergen notes, storage, freezing, and reheating advice
- Troubleshooting for the most likely problems
Testing and Review
We do not label a recipe “tested” unless it has actually been prepared and evaluated. When a recipe has not undergone a documented kitchen test, we review it for ingredient-to-yield consistency, logical step order, feasible timing, temperature guidance, and internal consistency before publication. We avoid fabricated personal stories or claims.
Food Safety
Readers should use clean equipment, prevent cross-contamination, refrigerate perishable food promptly, and verify safe internal temperatures with a food thermometer. Individual equipment and ingredients vary, so visual cues and measured temperature should take priority over timing alone.
How to Report a Problem
Use our Contact page and include the article title, the exact step or quantity, what happened, and any relevant equipment or ingredient differences. We review specific, reproducible reports first.
How Corrections Are Made
Minor spelling or formatting fixes may be made without a notice. If an ingredient quantity, safety instruction, timing range, or major method changes, we update the article and its modified date. We do not remove good-faith criticism simply because it is unfavorable.
No Guarantee
Cooking results vary with ingredient brands, altitude, appliance calibration, pan material, and substitutions. Our instructions are educational and cannot replace professional medical advice for allergies or health conditions.
